The ‘American Way’ at the Pan Am Games

Have you already forgotten Kuwait, Mike Downey?

The “American way” is characterized by hard work, ingenuity and respect for individual rights. It is the way the rest of the world is adopting to save their countries from ruin. To say the “American way” is being spoiled and having regard for nothing but personal comfort and self-gratification is ignorant and shamefully wrong.

The good news, Mike, is that because of the “American way,” you are able and encouraged to express your opinion freely. The bad news is you were irresponsible and blew it on this one.
