EDS to Buy McDonnell Computer Units: Electronic Data Systems Inc. said it will acquire the computer system design business of aerospace giant McDonnell Douglas Corp. for an undisclosed sum. The transaction involves McDonnell Douglas Systems Integration Co. and McDonnell Douglas Information Systems International. McDonnell Douglas Systems Integration, which employs 2,000, had 1990 revenue of $398 million. Chairman John McDonnell said the sale to Dallas-based EDS will allow St. Louis-based McDonnell Douglas to reduce its debt and make more resources available to its primary aerospace divisions.
