Share

Relatives of a 71-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s disease are seeking the public’s help in locating the woman, who apparently wandered away from a nursing home last week.

Colombia Forero was last seen about 4 p.m. Wednesday at Park View Manor, a senior citizen facility at 7242 Westminster Blvd. Her daughter, Pam O’Rourke, said the family’s telephone calls to area law enforcement, medical facilities and nearby merchants have failed to turn up any trace of Forero.

“We’ve been going out of our minds,” O’Rourke said. “We’ve called fast-food places, tire places, body shops, anyplace where anyone might be standing outside at any given moment and might have seen her, but we haven’t heard anything.”

Forero is 5 feet, 4 inches, about 130 pounds and has a dark complexion and brown hair. Her daughter said she might be wearing a long, cream-colored sweater, beige shorts and a red or pink blouse. She also said her mother speaks fluent English and Spanish.

Alzheimer’s disease is a debilitating condition that causes deterioration of brain cells, memory loss and disorientation. Anyone with information about Forero should call Parkview Manor at (714) 898-2131.
