Indicted Mayor Won’t Run for Reelection

PAWTUCKET, R.I. —
Mayor Brian Sarault, who faces federal extortion charges over an alleged city contracts-for-campaign donations scheme, said Monday that he will not seek reelection this year.
Sarault last week was indicted a second time. He has said he is innocent.
