Transient Charged With Burglary at Archdiocese
Burglary charges were filed Thursday against a 41-year-old transient who allegedly was caught earlier this week ransacking a storage room at the offices of the Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Raul Gonzales Martinez was arrested at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday after a security guard at the West 9th Street offices found him “tossing pots and pans around the room as he searched shelves and drawers,” said City Atty. James K. Hahn.
Martinez, who was on probation, had been convicted June 10 of a petty theft, and was wanted in connection with a felony burglary in July, Hahn said.
