Three-Day Advance Purchase Fares Replaced: Beginning Sept. 4, the airlines will replace the popular three-day advance purchase fares with seven-day advance purchase fares. Observers said the airlines made the change to bring in much-needed revenue as the industry enters the traditionally slow fall travel season.
