BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : ANGELS : Langston’s Next Start Still in Question

There was no word whether a strained right hip muscle will force Mark Langston to miss his next start. Langston was hurt during Sunday’s 9-5 victory over Boston. “We’re monitoring his progress,” Angel trainer Ned Bergert said. “No decision has been made yet. We’ll give it some time and see how it goes.”

Dave Parker was back in the lineup as the Angels’ designated hitter after spending back-to-back games on the bench for the first time this year. Dave Winfield, who took over for Parker as designated hitter, moved back to right field.
