Bo Jackson stole second base at Hoover, Ala., in the sixth inning, his first steal since he began a minor league rehabilitation stint.

Jackson walked leading off the sixth inning for the double-A Birmingham Barons, and then stole second. He moved to third when the throw went into center field and scored on a checked-swing roller.

Jackson finished zero for two with two walks for the Barons.

Chet Lemon, the former Detroit outfielder, is being treated for a blood clot disorder in Gainesville, Fla. His condition is critical, said Louis Saco, the Detroit team physician in Lakeland who treated him.
