VENTURA : 10,000 Expected for Big Beach Concert
Rock ‘n’ roll legend Eric Burdon, the original lead singer of The Animals, and the ‘60s psychedelic band Strawberry Alarm Clock will be featured at Saturday’s “Beach Daze” concert at San Buenaventura State Beach in Ventura.
Concert organizers expect more than 10,000 people to attend the event, which starts at 10 a.m.
The concert will also include performances by Los Angeles soul band Jimmie and the Immortals and by I Love You.
In addition to music, Beach Daze will feature a daylong open volleyball tournament and a swimsuit fashion show.
The event, sponsored by local businesses, is free.
