One Director More: “Les Miz” lovers won’t miz out on a screen version of the hit musical, after all. The film of “Les Miserables,” stalled since director Alan Parker (“The Commitments”) dropped out of the project 18 months ago, will have Bruce Beresford (“Driving Miss Daisy”) at the helm. The TriStar Pictures project will begin production in 1993 with Cameron Mackintosh, producer of the stage version of “Les Miz,” producing the celluloid version.
