The Assistance League of the Antelope Valley will sponsor its third annual golf tournament to benefit the Assistance League Day Nursery. The nursery provides day care for low-income families while parents go to work or school. The golf tournament will be held Sept. 9 at the Antelope Valley Country Club, 39800 Country Club Drive, Palmdale. The entry fee is $125, which includes golf, golf cart, sweater vest, tee prizes, lunch and a cocktail party with entertainment. The shotgun start will be at noon. The St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation will sponsor the fifth annual Gold Rush Casino Nite on Sept. 28. The event, to benefit St. Joseph’s Home Hospice program, will be held at the Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. The evening will feature a Western buffet dinner, casino games, a silent auction and a variety of prizes. Tickets are $125 and are limited to the first 400 sold. Reservations are required. The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its 10th annual Cliff Sales Oak Tree Fall Golf Classic on Sept. 16. Check-in times are 6 and 11:30 a.m., with tee times at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. The entry fee of $150 per player includes greens fees, golf cart, driving range privileges, lunch and a dinner program. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the SCV Cancer Center at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. The tournament will be held at the Valencia Country Club, 27330 Tourney Road, Valencia.
