CHILL OUT: Veteran teachers in the Santa Ana Unified School District want new teachers who start today to feel welcome. So they’ve sent them “Chill Out” water bottle survival kits. They’re filled with tissues, a whistle, earplugs, pencils, and, of course, aspirin tablets. . . . “It’s just to let them know we know what a new school can be like,” says Marilynn Nehrbass, head of a district teacher support group.
