79 Cubans Rescued at Sea

MIAMI — Seventy-nine Cuban refugees attempting to reach Florida were rescued at sea during the Labor Day weekend, Coast Guard officials said Tuesday. That brought the total for the year to 1,667. Last year, 497 Cuban refugees made the trip across the Florida Straits.
