Apology Owed Nursing Mother
I am outraged to learn that a mother was ordered to stop breast-feeding her baby at the Ventura County Fair.
There are children everywhere at the fair. By age 10, these children will see hundreds of murders on TV and violence of every sort. I think a mother nursing a child would be a welcome relief.
I demand that the fair’s board of directors issue a public apology to the parents, declaring that their removal from the Youth Building represented the actions of two narrow-minded and misguided individuals, and not the policy of the fair administration.
In addition, the two employees involved should be ordered to dine on the commode in a public restroom and meditate on some of the warped values of this society.
