Welfare Mom Sparks Ire in Readers

Share

Oh, how dumb we taxpayers are! Poor, dear, humiliated, embarrassed and angry Jenny! This lady, a member of the national honor society Psi Chi, has not been able to find work in Orange County for 14 months? Come on, Dianne. Look in your own Times classified ads for employment. With a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, Jenny could take on any number of jobs--perhaps not in psychology, but because of her field of expertise, it could apply to dozens of good jobs. I think she is most likely using the term overqualified in order to escape working for a living.

If Jenny is angry, imagine how we, the taxpayers, feel!

Jenny has a TV plus Nintendo? I am paying for it but I cannot afford the same for my grandnephews. If the children say they have no friends and are tormented at school because they and their mother are on welfare, believe me, their being on welfare is not the reason--something else is very much awry in their household. Perhaps their master psychologist mother should analyze this problem more deeply and come up with a good answer.
