The Death of Communism

Share

I am really sick of Cockburn, but at least he has let us know where all the negativism and poisonous distortions in his columns come from. He is a person who is positively nostalgic for “the heritage of the great Lenin”! He evidently thinks it is worse to be unemployed because of Reaganism than to be dead because of Stalinism.

He is so proud of how the Soviet Union “defeated fascism,” but didn’t we have something to do with that? Not to mention Britain and France?

The people of the Baltic states remember all too well how the “heritage of Lenin” sold them out to slavery and death. Cockburn doesn’t mention how many millions of people died in the Soviet Union, China and other places because of his precious “radical” revolutions. I hardly think that the preservation of Fidel Castro or the extension of Vietnamese communism is something to chalk up the credit of anyone. Give me a break.
