SIMI VALLEY : Advisory Councils Will Fill Vacancies

Share

Applications are being accepted for positions on each of Simi Valley’s four neighborhood councils, which advise city officials.

Applicants must be residents and at least 18 years of age, city officials said.

Vacancies exist on the councils, each of which has about nine members. Members are appointed to two-year terms by the City Council. Each neighborhood council represents a geographic area and meets to review issues including development, traffic and environmental matters. The panels then make recommendations to the City Council.

Information about the program may be obtained from the city Department of Environmental Services. The deadline for submitting applications to the city clerk’s office is Sept. 27.
