IBM, Apple Joint Venture Expected: International Business Machines Corp. and Apple Computer Inc. are expected to form a joint venture in multimedia computing and to cooperate on radio computer links, industry sources said. The venture follows the announcement by the two firms in July of plans to form a jointly owned company to develop advanced operating systems software for office desktop computers. The goal of the second venture is to develop a mass-market product that would combine personal computing and entertainment.
