Rewriting of Gun Law

I read about the assault gun law fiasco. It seems to me that the fanatic supporters of this bill, specifically Roberti, Roos, former Atty. Gen. John Van de Kamp, former Gov. George Deukmejian, the editorial staffs of The Times and other major newspapers in the state, those national figures Jim and Sarah Brady and federal politicians like Sens. Howard Metzenbaum, Edward Kennedy and Dennis DeConcini, flat out lied or purposely misled the public about this law.

Seems like the National Rifle Assn. was the only organization that consistently told the truth about this law and its consequences during the entire proceedings. I wish someone at the NRA would call a news conference and utter just four words, “We told you so.”
