Racial Harmony on Campuses
Dartmouth College President Freedman seems to be genuinely concerned about the lack of racial harmony and student integration on college campuses. In trying to explain this phenomenon he refers to the complex motivations that create friendships, generally beats around the bush and quotes Martin Luther King Jr. at length. Perhaps these problems would quickly dissipate if he allowed his admissions office to enroll students based on “the content of their character” and not by the color of their skin.
