New Ownership: Computer City SuperCenter, a so-called computer superstore in Garden Grove, will complete its remodeling and re-merchandising under new ownership by the end of November.

The store, which will remain open during the remodeling and is now owned by the Fort Worth-based Tandy Corp. that owns the Radio Shack consumer-electronics chain, is being revamped to reflect Tandy’s vision of the Computer City format. That involves selling computers made by Apple, Compaq, IBM and Tandy, rather than the “clone” computers retailed by the previous owners.

The store was formerly a venture of Inacomp Computer Centers Inc. and Tokyo-based Matsushita Corp. But Tandy purchased the store and rights to the Computer City format in June.
