MicroProbe to Make Cancer Drugs: MicroProbe Corp. announced the formation of a new unit to develop drugs against certain infectious diseases and cancers. The private company, based in Garden Grove, said its new therapeutics division is based in Bothell, Wash., and will use Microprobe’s DNA technology. Dr. Harvey J. Hoyt, a former vice president at Applied Immune Sciences, is the division’s new president and chief operating officer.
