OXNARD : Housing Agency OKs Modernization Plan

The Oxnard Housing Authority on Tuesday unanimously approved a five-year modernization plan for the city’s 780 public-housing units.
The $11.8-million plan, to be funded by grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, contains 85 separate goals.
Projects include the renovation of the Colonia Senior Center, and the addition of rear-yard fencing and lock replacements at La Colonia and Pleasant Valley Homes.
Also included are fire alarms and bathroom replacements at the Plaza Vista project, and the construction of a concrete wall around the Pleasant Valley Homes project.
