Huntway Unit Gets New Contract for Jet Fuel

Huntway Partners L.P. said its Sunbelt Refining Co. unit in Arizona received a new contract that will boost its production of jet fuel by 50%.
Huntway, a Valencia-based company that primarily produces liquid asphalt, said that, effective Oct. 1, Sunbelt will supply 18 million gallons of jet fuel for certain military installations under a one-year contract from the Defense Fuel Supply Center.
The contract should provide “a positive impact on earnings, since jet fuel is our highest-priced product,” said Doug Hansen, Huntway’s chief financial officer, in a statement.
