Bowie Blow-Up: David Bowie is saying thanks but no thanks to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The mercurial rocker is one of 15 nominees for possible induction this year, but he says he’d like to be removed from consideration. “I think the whole thing is bull . . . ,” he says in an interview airing today on HBO’s “World Entertainment Report.” “I know my own worth. I don’t need a medal.” A spokeswoman for the Hall of Fame said Tuesday that Bowie’s name will remain on ballots, which have already gone out. Should he be selected as one of the five to seven new Hall of Fame members, he will be inducted in absentia at the ceremonies in New York in January. Results will be announced in late October.
