Communications License: Miralite Communications Inc., a Newport Beach supplier of satellite communications systems, announced Tuesday that it has received an international license from the Federal Communications Commission to provide telephone, facsimile and video conferencing services to customers abroad.

The license will allow Miralite to use satellite systems to provide direct communication lines between U.S. companies and representatives or subsidiaries in areas with poor communication systems, said Frederick R. Andresen, director of special projects.

He said the license will allow Miralite to transmit communication through major Soviet and Western satellite systems, such as Panamsat, Intelsat and Intersputnik, for its customers to small Earth stations. He estimated that the license could generate $15 million in business in the next three years.
