Stowaway Armadillo Going Home in Style
Associated Press
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. —
Like a rolling stone, a stowaway armadillo nicknamed Bob Dylan was headed back to the Southeast from Wyoming on Tuesday.
The 12-pound armadillo was discovered hiding in a Consolidated Freightways truck loaded with tires during a 1,921-mile trip from Orlando to Cheyenne, and it refused to eat in Wyoming.
A veterinarian was taking the animal by jet to Atlanta, where a radio station manager has arranged for a rented limousine to take it to St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge on the Gulf of Mexico.
