CHARGER UPDATE : NOTEBOOK / T.J. SIMERS : Taylor to Take Thigpen’s Spot

Share

The Chargers will release wide receiver Yancey Thigpen and bring up wide receiver Kitrick Taylor from injured reserve for Sunday’s game with the Chiefs.

Thigpen, the team’s fourth-round draft choice, was added to the roster last week. He will be re-signed to the team’s practice squad if he clears waivers.

Taylor scored his first NFL touchdown against the Chiefs last year when he returned a punt 55 yards. He was signed by the Chargers as a free agent in early December and did not catch a pass for the team.
