Pomona College--The Times reported incorrectly Sunday that Cal Poly Pomona was listed in the annual U.S. News & World Report rating of the nation’s best colleges. The item should have said that Pomona College in Claremont was ranked fifth-best small liberal arts college.

San Gabriel Valley institutions named in other categories were Cal Tech, fourth-best university, and Cal Poly Pomona, fourth-best small liberal arts college. Occidental College in Eagle Rock was named 24th-best small liberal arts college.
