Caltech Chemist Is Award Recipient

Share

Caltech chemist Harry Gray has been named the 1991 recipient of the Waterford Award in recognition of his work in bioinorganic chemistry.

Gray studies electron transfer in proteins, a process involved in energy storage and conversion in all living cells. His research could lead to the development of new catalysts for the production of biologically active molecules.

He will receive a $15,000 award and a piece of specially designed Waterford crystal at a presentation ceremony in October.
