Glendale : Direct-Deposit Test
The Board of Education approved a resolution Tuesday to participate in a county program designed to test a new electronic payroll system. Under the Los Angeles County office of education direct deposit system, an employee’s pay would be electronically transferred to a designated checking or savings account.
During the two-month trial beginning immediately, 25 employees of the Glendale Unified School District will take part in the direct deposit program. If the experiment is successful, nearly 2,400 full- and part-time employees could use the service.
