I am writing you regarding the article on the homeless in Santa Monica (“Welcome Mat Wars Thin for Homeless in Santa Monica,” Metro, Sept. 23).
The article seems to forget the most critical point: The homeless are our social responsibility because they are the result of our society. No one can free himself from the responsibility toward any individual in our society.
The evidence is clear that full-scale action should be taken to place our homeless under a caring facility.
