Doctors and Money

Share

Given the current emphasis on values as the solution to many of the problems facing our society, I found the fact that four neurosurgeons at Scripps Memorial Hospital turned away head-injury patients for a week as part of a pay dispute disheartening.

One might hope that a sterling example of good values might be found in those who have entered the field of medicine. Instead, it seems that these neurosurgeons at Scripps have pretty much the same set of values as drug pushers, who also endanger the lives of others in order to make more money.
