Remembering Miles: Bill Cosby, speaking at a memorial service for Miles Davis on Saturday in New York, summed up the jazz legend’s disregard for the conventional by saying, “No one in the world ever will say that they spotted Miles Davis at the mall.” Davis’ music played throughout the service. Guests included stars Quincy Jones, Dizzy Gillespie and Herbie Hancock and two of Davis’s ex-wives, actress Cicely Tyson and dancer Frances Taylor. Davis died Sept. 28 in Los Angeles.
