The NCAA Council lowered the minimum score requirement on the American College Testing college entrance examination from 18 to 17. The new requirement is not retroactive and will begin with the 1992-93 class. The change was made to correspond to the Scholastic Aptitude Test score of 700, the other widely used college entrance examination.
