Exploratory surgery found no damage to the right shoulder of first baseman Frank Thomas of the Chicago White Sox.
Frank Jobe performed arthroscopic surgery on Thomas’ shoulder in Los Angeles, according to a statement by the White Sox. The doctor found some looseness in the joint, but no tears or other evidence of damage, White Sox trainer Herm Schneider said.
