Sudden Exits: On her doctor’s advice, diva Jessye Norman canceled Sunday’s performance with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the last minute because of a viral infection. The orchestra played as much of the concert as possible without the soloist, and managing director Ernest Fleischmann offered the audience coupons good for future concert tickets. . . . Music Center Opera conductor Lawrence Foster has returned home to France because of an illness in his family. The opera’s resident conductor, Randall Behr, will lead final performances of “Don Giovanni” tonight and Friday.
