Christo’s Umbrellas

Share

Nuts to the rhetoric from the critics about the umbrellas. It’s always easier to decide how to spend someone else’s money. Christo shared when he didn’t have to. Even Jesus said, “For the poor you have with you always” (Matt. 26:11).

My experience with the umbrellas was to experience the thunder of silence. Their magnificence is to see so many people from so many walks sharing the same awe and delight.

In these times of limitation, what’s wrong with doing something as a reminder not to take life so seriously? It’s a serious lesson to be learned from this character Christo. He has my gratitude.
