Unacceptable Viewing
As an adult member of society in what is supposed to be a free country I am constantly amazed at those who attempt to exert unnecessary control over my life.
Once again, advertisers, the very people who want me to buy their products, are threatening to pull their commercials from NBC’s “Quantum Leap.” In their eyes I’m not allowed to view a show with “gay content.” It doesn’t matter that I am married and have a 28-year-old son. Do they think this is going to lead to my corruption?
Even worse, NBC is asking the producer to make changes in the program so it would be “acceptable.” Acceptable to whom? Certainly not to me. I have no desire to watch anything on NBC if they will bend to that degree.
