The Disney Hall Debate--Gehry Supporters Have Say

Once again, the provincial, pedestrian, local-yokel conventionalists vent their Philistine spleen at a prospective Los Angeles landmark glorification.
The Gehry design for Disney Hall, so maligned by tasteless correspondents (Letters, Sept. 29), can elevate Los Angeles’ architectural image. If their kind of reactionary rebellion prevails, it shall bear further witness to the reason why Southern California cultural lag always relegates Los Angeles to second or third status behind San Francisco or even Orange or San Diego counties in unique and courageous creative design achievement.
