Yields Lower on Five-Year Notes: Yields on five-year Treasury notes fell at auction to the lowest level since February. The average yield was 6.92%, down from 7.05% at the last auction on Sept. 25. It was the lowest rate since five-year notes averaged 6.73% on Feb. 25. The notes will carry a coupon interest rate of 6.875% with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,981.20. A total of $9.0 billion in notes were sold out of bids totaling $24.1 billion.
