Laser Precision Corp.: The Irvine manufacturer of test and measurement instruments posted net income of $66,000, or 1 cent per share, for the third quarter, which included a loss of $406,000 from discontinued operations. For the 1990 period, the company incurred a net loss of $1.4 million, or 33 cents per share, which included a loss of $1.6 million from discontinued operations. Sales rose 20%, to $6.1 million from $5.1 million. For the first nine months of 1991, net income was $837,000, or 18 cents per share, contrasted with a net loss of $1.2 million, or 29 cents per share for the first three quarters of 1990. The loss from discontinued operations was $1 million and $2 million, respectively. Sales increased 25%, to $19.1 million from $15.3 million. Operating results, estimated closing and other costs related to the sale of Laser Precision’s Analytical division on Aug. 5 are being accounted for as discontinued operations.
