The Region : Hearing on Phone Service

The California Public Utilities Commission will hold a public hearing Monday in Pasadena as part of a statewide series of hearings to determine whether consumers want competition with their local phone companies in local toll phone service.

During the hearing, the commission will outline the proposed changes and solicit comments. The hearing will be at 7 p.m. in the Pasadena Main Public Library Auditorium, 285 E. Walnut.

Those who cannot attend but wish to comment can write the California Public Utilities Commission in reference to I.87-11-033 “Rate Design,” c/o Public Adviser, 107 S. Broadway, Room 5109, Los Angeles, Calif. 90012.
