An Alternative: Alternative and college radio fans now have more than just a weekly late-night MTV show to turn to: Rhino Records has taken 32 performances from MTV’s popular alternative music program and released “The Best of MTV’s 120 Minutes”--a two-volume CD/cassette and companion video. Featured artists include R.E.M., the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Stone Roses, Sinead O’Connor, Faith No More, the Ramones, Depeche Mode, New Order, Morrissey, Husker Du, the Cocteau Twins, Soul Asylum, Ministry and the Church.
