MOORPARK : Logo Design Contest Is Open to Residents
Moorpark residents who are artistically inclined have the opportunity to design a logo for the city’s community services department.
The city will sponsor a design contest for the logo, which will be used mainly on T-shirts for city recreational events.
The contest is open to all Moorpark residents age 12 and older, said Debbie Broussalian, a parks and recreation department spokeswoman.
The City Council last month turned down two logos suggested by city staff. One of the logos featured a balloon, the other a landscape. Council members said they thought the city’s residents could do better.
The deadline for contest submissions is Nov. 22. Each design should be submitted on 8-by-11-inch paper to the community services department.
Broussalian said there is no official prize for the contest.
