Battle Over School Funds
There comes a time in the life of a community when you must set priorities. Educating our children is the No. 1 priority of the Las Virgenes Unified School District today.
Nobody likes paying taxes, especially taxes that are added to the ones we already are expected to pay. However, we are faced in the Las Virgenes Unified School District with a choice: Either we sacrifice a few dollars over a three-year period to maintain educational excellence in our schools, or we deal with mediocrity in education and face overcrowded classrooms and a lack of essential school supplies.
Any other response but a yes to Proposition K is terribly shortsighted and irresponsible.
