GREENER PASTURES: Two large plant nurseries, from Irvine and Azusa, will soon head north to the San Joaquin Valley (D5), in large part because Southern California land values are forcing them out. Two other Irvine nurseries are expected to follow when their leases expire in 1997, which would mean a loss of 1,200 jobs for Orange County. . . . One operator predicted that “the nurseries left here will be operating under utility right of ways.”
