Household Toxic Waste Roundup Set for Nov. 9

The city of Los Angeles and Unocal Corp. are sponsoring a household hazardous waste roundup at the McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Entrance, 6775 Centinela Ave. in Westchester, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 9.

The program allows residents to safely discard up to five gallons or 50 pounds of such items as unused paint, motor oil, pesticides and cleaning solvents. For information, call the Board of Public Works at (213) 237-1634.
