Disservice to Veterans
On two occasions the sitcom “Nurses” (NBC) has made derogatory remarks and innuendo about Vietnam veterans. The first episode (Sept. 21) showed a male nurse saying, “You know how to be crazy, you were in Vietnam.” The second episode (Sept. 28) had the character saying, “This is the way I used to wake up guys sleeping on guard in Vietnam.” Also on the same episode, the nurse also said, “I didn’t even do drugs in Vietnam.”
The time for these type of scurrilous and disparaging remarks has ended.
