Vacancy on County School Board Filled
Former Fountain Valley school board member Roger W. Belgen was appointed to the Orange County Board of Education on Monday.
Belgen, 61, was chosen unanimously by the other four board members from a field of seven applicants.
He will be sworn in at the board’s Nov. 14 meeting and will represent District 1, which covers portions of Garden Grove, Westminster, Fountain Valley and Santa Ana.
Belgen replaces Judith A. Michaels, who resigned to take a job in Sacramento.
